Free live stream on facebook.com/MazaGilde and www.mazagilde.lv.

While waiting for Christmas, this year the children have decided to write letters not to Santa Claus, but to the Winter Fairy. Will the fairy receive these letters? What do children want? What do adults want? What is this year’s most desired Christmas gift?

Some wait for miracles and experience them, while others are miracle makers themselves. With this concert performance, the artists wish to create a warm and cozy Christmas atmosphere in every home. Melodies filled with winter moods and beloved traditional Christmas songs will be performed during the live stream.

Ilona Bagele is a soloist at the Latvian National Opera and one of the most sought-after concert artists in Latvia and abroad, with extensive experience in academic, jazz, and popular music.

Gustavs Melbārdis graduated from the Musical Theatre Department of the NMV Riga Cathedral Choir School and has participated in numerous musical projects.

Children and youth vocal ensemble KOLIBRI is one of the best children’s vocal ensembles in Latvia. The ensemble not only gives concerts, but for nearly ten years has also been participating in LNO productions of “The Sound of Music” and “The Nutcracker”.

The concert performance “Winter Fairy Stories” is organized by the MCCAC “Mazā Ģilde” with the support of the Education, Culture and Sports Department of the Riga City Council.
