Senior Women’s Choir “Sudrabotā Gaisma” brings together senior singers who wish to spend their time in a meaningful, enriching, and emotionally rewarding way through choral music. The choir’s repertoire includes both classical Latvian and international choral works, as well as choral arrangements of popular songs and traditional schlager melodies.

Each year, the choir participates in the Latvian Senior Song Festival, held in various cities across Latvia, as well as in Riga senior concerts hosted by cultural centres throughout the city. The choir also takes part in a variety of cultural projects, including performances at the Chocolate Museum, the Latvian War Museum, appearances in short films, and concerts both in Riga and throughout Latvia.

The highlight of the choir’s artistic life is participation in the Latvian Song and Dance Festival, one of the country’s most cherished cultural traditions.

Rehearsals take place every Monday and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.. Alongside learning new repertoire and developing choral singing skills, choir members celebrate birthdays, mark festive occasions, and organise social activities that strengthen the ensemble’s warm and welcoming community.
